“Warning over ‘assisted suicide’ law”

Baroness Mary Warnock has warned that the UK law on assisted suicide could lead to the worst possible “botched death.” After testifying that current guidelines are “particularly bad,” she argued that “the complex procedure of mercy killing should only be carried out by qualified medical professionals.” After she gave evidence, Lady Warnock,86, said, “I think only doctors and nurses can secure a safe death.” More
