A doctor-prescribed suicide bill (LB 450), the “Patient Choice at End of Life Act,” was introduced in January 2017.  It failed to pass in 2017 .  It was carried over to 2018.  No action was taken on the bill.

Current law regarding assisted suicide

A person commits assisting suicide when, with intent to assist another person in committing suicide,
he aids and abets him in committing or attempting to commit suicide.
